April showers might bring May flowers, but June brings in a new crop of grads and to celebrate them, graduation parties!

A Milestone worth Celebrating

Graduation is one of the true stepping-stones of life. It's the in-between of the student you were and the person you're becoming. Sometimes that's a high school grad leaving behind homeroom & SAT prep for their first "real job" and entry to adult life, and sometimes it's holding a university degree that holds years of late night studying, too much caffeine, and immense pride.

This accomplishment at such pivotal stages of life is worth celebrating. Also, you spent way too much money on the cap & gown, so you might as well wear them for some photos! Obviously Mom is going to take a ton of photos on her phone at the graduation ceremony, but wouldn't she also be thrilled to have some professionally done photos, and maybe even enjoy a moment to be in them herself? It's important that we acknowledge the people who helped us get through and cheered us on through the best and worst challenges.

Authenticity

Unlike everything you did to get to graduation, this doesn't have to be an assignment. There are some classic poses, sure, but we can also show who you are and will grow to be. Confident, relaxed, successful, whatever that looks like for you, that's who we'll bring out in your session.

Like most sessions, I want to get to know you before we launch into the shoot. We'll talk a little, you can share what you loved most about the journey, what you're looking forward to leaving behind, and where you see yourself going in the future. You don't need to know how to pose - that's what I'm there for, and you just have to bask in that graduate glow.

The moment won't last long enough, they never do. But it's worth remembering.
